Young Israel of Sunnyside, founded in 1939, is a welcoming, modern Orthodox synagogue that strives to provide a supportive community for Jews of different backgrounds to grow and practice yiddishkeit. We are a small community and are working to revive and rebuild the historic New York Jewish community in Western Queens. We have weekly shiurim and holiday events. We have an eiruv in place that spans a wide area.
